Dadima	Punica granatum Linn		Anar	Fruit rand, Roots, Root bark, Flowers.

Phytochemistry :

Tannin, Punico – tannic acid, Mannite, Sugar, Gum, Pectin ash, Pelletierine, Isopelletierine, Methyl - pelletisrine, Pscudo – pelletisrine.

Madhura, Amla, Kashaya	Laghu, Snigdha	Sheeta	Ripe - Tridohaghna, Unripe - Vatakaphahara	Grahi, Raktashodhaka, Rochana, Krimighna, Medhya, Mukhrogahara, Shukrala, Deepana.

Indication :

1	Intestinal heminthiasis – especially type worms
2	Reduced appetite
3	Diarrhoea
4	Nausea / Vomiting
5	Epistaxis

Formulation and Dosage :

Fruit	: In convalescence after diarrhoea
Fruit juice	: 30 – 60 ml b.i.d. or t.i.d.
Decoction of bark and rind of the fruit ( 1 in 10 )	: 30 – 60 mg t.i.d.
Dadimashtaka churna	: 5 – 10 gm b.i.d.
Freah root bark decoction	: 60 ml on an empty stomach and half – hourly repeated for 2 hours, follow with castor oil
